The volume begins with the irreducibility of lived experience: colour, sound, texture, thought, feeling, and awareness as the condition through which any world appears.
The Limits of Reduction
It examines materialism, functionalism, eliminativism, neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and the persistent difficulty of explaining qualia away.
The Collapse of Explanation
It traces the point at which explanation reaches its structural limit and can no longer contain the phenomenon it seeks to master.
The Return of Awareness
It moves toward a recursive understanding of consciousness in which awareness is not treated as an object inside reality, but as the field within which reality is known.
